This module has made me realize that I need to incorporate different uses of technology into my lessons to help students with differentiated education in order to benefit the needs of all my students.
This session has made me look at projects from a new perspective. Curriculum framing seems very similar to task analysis. Asking myself what the "Essential Question" for my project will be. It's all a driving force for the unit! :)
It is interesting to see some of the ways we should be thinking about our classes and how we can use a template or go off someone else's plan(s) to get new ideas started.
Begining process of organizing a meaningful project-based project. Just thinking about the benefits, what the student is expected to complete, if it is at their grade level, and how to assess students has the hampster wheel moving.
This class is wonderful! I have a few research projects that I teach each year, but I am not sure how "strong" of a lesson it is, because I am unsure of pre, during and post assessments. I know the students really like the projects and ask when "we get to do them," so word travels about the project! This class will be able to guide me in areas of turning a good project into a great project by strengthening weak assessments and linking the project to strong academic core standards and CTE Tech Prep standards more securely.

ReplyDeleteThis reinforces what I have been teaching, and can improve upon.
ReplyDeleteTeaching with projects makes me excited about the units/projects I am considering. If I am excited, the students will be too.
