  5. When I think of my students using the internet, it makes me feel like I have less control than when they use printed materials, but I am realizing that there are websites that narrow and help focus their attention and behavior.

  8. This module has helped me realize that I need to narrow the search location for student research. I can provide a list of approved search engines for them to use hopefully leading to more precise results when conduction research.
Students can also share their findings and thoughts through various forms of online communication. They can share with me, other students in class, parents and other students around the world to broaden their depth of understanding.

  10. Sometimes your classes are large and you want to know everything that goes on in your classroom and what a student accomplishs during class. Using a survey or a blog, students can state what they did and what they are going to do tomorrow. This also helps for the shy students and also student accountability. Then the teacher can reinforce what they are doing or provide comments on what they need to do tomorrow or what they need to change. I think it can help open communication between you and your students.

  11. This shows me that we are only beginning to scratch the surface. I need to be able to expand to non-traditional ways of doing things. Also a new language is growing as we speak.

  13. I plan on using either the Edline survey or surveymonkey with my students on my project-based learning unit. I also plan on using blogspot in my classroom (as soon as I get enough computers for every student--hint, hint, hint :-) )
